Perversions of Science (1997)

Tales from the Crypt's science-fiction spinoff had all its episode's special makeup effects handled by KNB EFX Group. The episode 'Dream of Doom' had several surreal sequence where Lolita Davidovich went through grotesque transformations; the worm headed form she takes was realized as a puppet.

The spider-like form she adopts is one I'm not sure how they realized it; was it a mix of puppetry and facial prosthetics with footage of her head in the makeup superimposed on the puppet? The screenshots were flipped upside down to show off the prosthetics and puppetry better.

The episode 'Panic' had two competing groups of invading aliens, the Martians and Jovians, both of them realized as heavy prosthetic makeups. The Martian prosthetic appliances were designed to show the performer's eyes.

The more bug-like Jovian prosthetic appliances allowed the performer's mouth to be seen moving; presumably they could see from tiny holes cut in the mask.

The alien invader in 'The People's Choice' was also realized as a fully-covering prosthetic facial appliance.
