The Twilight Zone (1959)
The original Twilight Zone's makeup effects were provided by William Tuttle, with sculptors Charles Schram and Wah Chang also contributing on the series. 'Eye of the Beholder' had some of Tuttle's most iconic work; the future humans' pig-like visages realized as prosthetics worn over the nose and eyelids.
Tuttle and Schram fabricate enlarged cranium prosthetics for the Venusians and Martians in 'Mr Dingle, the Strong'.
Similar prosthetics were made by Tuttle and Schram for Richard Kiel to wear as the Kanamit in the iconic episode 'To Serve Man'.
'The Fugitive' had a shapeshifting alien briefly take on a more monstrous form with a sculpted mask and crust-like bodysuit.
Tuttle designed an eerie alien prosthetic mask for the episode 'Hocus-Pocus and Frisby', with no mouth, reptile-like nostils and a ridge connecting the eyes.
The gremlin in 'Nightmare at 20'000 Feet' was realized as a grotesque prosthetic mask, obscured by a thick furred suit and wig.
Tuttle and Schram also provided the grotesque facial prosthetics in 'The Masks', each one designed to resemble the masks they wore in the episode.
