War of the Worlds (1988)

The 'Mor-Taxan' aliens of the 1988 War of the Worlds series were bodysuits realized by Bill Sturgeon; puppeteering was utilized for the eyestalk and third arm closeups. Unfortunately, the aliens are only glimpsed very briefly in dark lighting. The few non-screenshot images in this article come from Sturgeon's own personal website, SurlyArt/SurlyCo.
Sturgeon was also credited for the alien hybrid prosthetics in the episode 'Unto Us a Child is Born'; the prosthetic was designed to have a flattened face and enlarged cranium. Sturgeon's team were also responsible for the graphic melting effects in the series.
The second season had Andrew Kenworthy credited as 'prosthetics designer'; as of now I don't know if these Morthren (the aliens replacing the Mor-Taxans) were resculpts of Sturgeon's work in the previous season, but either way appear to be static masks and gloves worn by the performer.
Sturgeon did do some additional work on the second season, in the form of realizing 'The Eternal', the Morthren's god; a jellyfish-like puppet superimposed on the screen via digital editing.
